QC Inspector (Marine)

Job Purpose

To ensure that fabrication and installation works in marine projects are executed in accordance with approved technical specifications, engineering drawings, classification society requirements, and applicable quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of structural, mechanical, piping, and welding works in marine projects.

• Ensure all activities comply with approved drawings and project specifications.

• Implement and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).

• Review and approve inspection and test reports.

• Supervise Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities such as UT, RT, MT, and PT, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.

• Review Material Test Certificates (MTC) and verify material conformity.

• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and follow up on corrective actions.

• Coordinate with site engineers, client representatives, and classification societies.

• Ensure compliance with requirements of classification bodies such as DNV, Lloyd's Register, and ABS.

• Maintain proper documentation of all inspection activities in line with the Quality Management System.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Marine, or Welding Engineering.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in marine projects or shipyards.

• CSWIP 3.1 certification (or equivalent).

• NDT Level II certification (preferred).

• Good knowledge of quality standards and Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Good command of English (written and spoken).
