Role Summary

Engaged on a per-job basis to fabricate, install, repair, and finish woodwork and joinery for residential and light-commercial sites. Work includes doors/frames, wardrobes, kitchens, shelving, partitions, flooring, and general fit-out tasks. You’ll coordinate with dispatch for work orders, documentation, and customer updates, and meet defined quality, safety, and turnaround SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend assigned work orders; conduct site measurements, prepare cut lists, and confirm scope before starting.

• Install/repair: wooden doors & frames, locks/hinges/closers, skirting/beading, cabinetry, wardrobes, kitchen units, shelves, and counters.

• Fabricate/assemble using MDF, plywood, solid wood, and laminates/veneers; perform edging, fitting hardware (slides, concealed hinges, pulls), and alignment/leveling.

• Execute finishing works: sanding, puttying, minor touch-ups, edge band fixes; coordinate with painting/polishing teams where needed.

• Build minor partitions (timber/board), ceiling hatches, access panels; perform small flooring works (laminate/engineered click-lock).

• Read drawings/basic shop details; propose practical solutions and variations with cost/time impacts for approval.

• Protect surfaces and maintain a clean, safe work area; ensure dust/noise control in occupied premises.

• Record work details in CRM (before/after photos, materials used, time, client sign-off).

• Comply with HSE: PPE use, work-at-height precautions, power-tool safety, and housekeeping.

• Communicate clearly with dispatch/clients; escalate scope changes or additional materials promptly.

Minimum Requirements

• 3–5 years hands-on carpentry/joinery experience (residential/light commercial fit-out).

• Strong skills in measuring, cutting, squaring, fixing, and finishing; confident with door alignment, hinge/lock mortising, and cabinet installation.

• Ability to read simple drawings and produce accurate site measurements.

• Basic English for notes and client updates (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu a plus).

• Smartphone for CRM, navigation, and photo documentation.

• Valid UAE driving license preferred; ability to travel between emirates.

Education & Certifications

• Trade certificate/ITI/Diploma in Carpentry/Joinery (or equivalent).

• HSE/Power-Tool safety certificates are a plus.
