Fresher Network Engineer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Support in troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues and system errors.

• Assist with network monitoring and performance optimization tasks.

• Help in managing and maintaining network security by applying updates, patches, and monitoring for vulnerabilities.

• Support in network upgrades, system configuration changes, and the installation of new services.

• Document and maintain accurate network infrastructure, configuration, and troubleshooting guides.

• Assist in system backups, data recovery, and other routine IT tasks.

• Collaborate with senior engineers in network performance tuning and troubleshooting.

• Learn and assist with network and system administration tasks under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Basic understanding of networking principles (OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

• Familiarity with network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Knowledge of networking protocols and internet technologies.

• Basic experience with network operating systems (Linux, Windows Server, or similar).

• Familiarity with networking tools like Wireshark, NetFlow, etc. is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

• Good communication skills to document and communicate technical issues effectively.

• Enthusiasm to learn and grow in the networking and systems field.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field.

• Certifications like CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar are a plus but not required.

Experience

• Fresh graduate with no prior work experience required.

• Internships or projects related to networking or system administration are a plus.
