Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Rotating Equipment Technician to join our maintenance team. This entry-level role focuses on assisting with the inspection, maintenance, and basic repair of rotating machinery such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and motors. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and develop technical skills in rotating equipment within an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Inspection & Maintenance

• Assist in routine inspections, lubrication, and basic maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Support senior technicians in troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing minor repairs.
• Help monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities.

Mechanical Support

• Participate in equipment installation, alignment, and balancing activities under supervision.
• Assist in disassembling and reassembling rotating machinery components.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Safety Compliance

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support safe work practices during all maintenance and repair tasks.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
• Assist in preparing basic reports on work performed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• Relevant trade training in rotating equipment is a plus.

Experience:

• 0–2 years of experience or internships in rotating equipment maintenance or mechanical workshops.

Skills:

• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical tasks.
• Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.

Preferred Certifications:

• Basic safety training (e.g., H2S, PPE usage).
• Awareness of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
