We are looking for a seasoned and technically strong Senior Workshop Supervisor – Valve Repair to lead and manage all operations within the valve repair workshop. This role requires deep expertise in industrial valve overhaul, testing, and quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on planning, team leadership, and compliance with international standards (ASME, API). The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising large-scale repair projects, ensuring workshop efficiency, and maintaining high standards of safety, documentation, and service delivery.
Manage the complete repair cycle of all valve types (isolation, control, safety relief, and pressure valves – including manual and actuated types).
Troubleshoot complex valve issues, recommend repair vs. replacement strategies, and ensure execution aligns with client specifications or OEM guidelines.
Supervise hydrostatic, pneumatic, seat leakage, and function testing as per API 598, API 6D, or customer standards.
Lead a team of technicians, fitters, machinists, and testing personnel; delegate work and monitor performance.
Plan daily and weekly schedules based on incoming work orders, client priorities, and shutdown timelines.
Mentor junior supervisors and ensure consistent skill development across the workshop team.
Oversee operations involving lapping, machining, welding (if in-scope), cleaning, and assembly.
Ensure workshop readiness and productivity for emergency jobs, large shutdown scopes, and long-term contracts.
Coordinate internal and third-party inspections, certifications, and delivery timelines.
Enforce adherence to repair procedures, dimensional tolerances, and functional testing requirements.
Review and sign off on repair documentation, including inspection reports, test certificates, and non-conformance reports.
Maintain workshop KPIs, audit readiness, and CMMS/ERP record accuracy.
Ensure strict implementation of workshop safety practices: pressure testing protocols, confined space entry, LOTO, and crane/lifting operations.
Lead toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and safety incident investigations.
Drive continuous improvement in safety and operational standards through training and process reviews.
Manage inventory of critical valve spares and consumables; initiate material forecasts and usage trends.
Liaise with OEMs, QA/QC, and client representatives for technical queries or specialized valve repairs.
Support procurement by evaluating suppliers, parts quality, and delivery performance.
Full accountability for valve workshop operations and team performance
Advanced troubleshooting and repair oversight
Client satisfaction, turnaround time, and documentation accuracy
Safety leadership and workshop compliance management
