Job Title: Workshop Supervisor – Valve Repair
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and technically inclined Junior Workshop Supervisor – Valve Repair to support the daily operations of a valve maintenance and repair workshop. This entry-level leadership position is ideal for candidates with hands-on valve repair experience who are ready to step into a supervisory role. Under the guidance of senior supervisors or engineers, you will assist in coordinating repair activities, ensuring workshop safety, and maintaining quality standards for valve overhauls and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Valve Repair Support

Assist in disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of industrial valves such as gate, globe, check, butterfly, ball, and safety relief valves.

Help monitor repair processes to ensure quality and compliance with OEM procedures.

Participate in pressure testing, lapping, and tagging of overhauled valves.
Workshop Operations

Assist in scheduling daily tasks for technicians and fitters in the valve repair area.

Maintain proper documentation of incoming/outgoing valves, repair logs, and test results.

Monitor housekeeping, proper use of tools, and adherence to repair protocols.
Safety & Compliance

Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices during valve repair activities.

Support safety briefings, hazard assessments, and LOTO procedures in the workshop.

Assist in compliance with internal quality and safety standards.
Inventory & Reporting

Help track usage of gaskets, seals, fasteners, and valve repair kits.

Notify senior staff of shortages or reordering needs for spare parts.

Record repair data in logbooks or digital systems and assist with QA documentation.
Learning & Development

Actively participate in training on valve types, repair techniques, and test procedures.

Learn to read technical drawings, valve specifications, and datasheets.

Gain exposure to relevant standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISA) under mentorship.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field
Experience:

1–3 years of hands-on experience in valve repair or mechanical workshop operations

Familiarity with industrial valves and basic repair tools preferred
Skills:

Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of valve components
