We are seeking a competent and proactive Mid-Level Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily mechanical operations within our workshop. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical experience, strong team leadership skills, and a solid understanding of maintenance and repair procedures, particularly related to valves, pumps, and rotating equipment. In this role, you will coordinate technicians, ensure job quality and safety compliance, and contribute to operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
Supervise day-to-day activities of workshop personnel, ensuring optimal workflow and productivity.
Assign tasks based on job priority and resource availability while ensuring timely job completion.
Lead toolbox talks, enforce safety protocols, and support a culture of accountability.
Ensure proper repair, assembly, and testing of mechanical components such as valves (control, safety, isolation), pumps, and actuators.
Provide guidance in troubleshooting, disassembly, inspection, and reassembly procedures.
Interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and work orders to ensure correct execution.
Oversee adherence to quality assurance procedures and inspection standards.
Maintain detailed job records, inspection reports, and progress tracking for ongoing work.
Liaise with QA/QC personnel to resolve quality issues and ensure job compliance.
Monitor tool and spare parts inventory, raise requisitions, and prevent shortages or delays.
Ensure proper storage, usage, and maintenance of tools and lifting equipment.
Train junior staff and new hires on workshop procedures, safety practices, and equipment use.
Identify skill gaps and recommend development plans for workshop team members.
Coordinate with planning, procurement, QA/QC, and field teams to align workshop activities with overall project needs.
Communicate job status and highlight risks or bottlenecks to management.

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
4–7 years of experience in a mechanical workshop, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proven track record in valve and rotating equipment maintenance, testing, or overhauls.
Strong knowledge of mechanical repair procedures and quality standards (e.g., API 6D, ASME, ISO).
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
Competent in MS Office, CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo), and workshop management practices.
Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification
OEM training on valves or pumps (desirable)
Crane or rigging certification (if applicable)
