We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Welding Supervisor to lead complex welding operations in high-specification industrial, oil & gas, or EPC environments. This role involves strategic oversight of welding teams, advanced quality control coordination, and direct interface with client representatives, inspection authorities, and project stakeholders. The Senior Welding Supervisor is expected to uphold high standards of safety, compliance, productivity, and technical excellence across multiple work fronts or large-scale projects.
Lead and manage multiple welding teams across fabrication yards, shutdowns, or construction sites.
Mentor junior supervisors and welding personnel, ensuring skill development and productivity.
Ensure welding work aligns with overall project schedules and resource planning.
Validate WPS, PQRs, and welder qualifications in collaboration with QA/QC and engineering teams.
Monitor weld quality, perform internal inspections, and manage weld repairs to minimize rework.
Ensure strict compliance with international codes (ASME, AWS, API, ISO, etc.) and customer specifications.
Liaise with clients, third-party inspectors, and certification bodies during inspections and audits.
Review and provide technical input on fabrication drawings, isometrics, and weld maps.
Collaborate with planning, procurement, and engineering for optimal workflow and materials management.
Oversee weld traceability, maintain complete documentation, and generate NCRs when required.
Approve and compile final weld documentation packages (WDPs) and handover dossiers.
Track welder performance and manage requalification processes.
Champion safe work practices in all welding areas, ensuring hazard identification and mitigation.
Lead safety reviews, participate in toolbox meetings, and enforce compliance with HSE protocols.
Support incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.Key Focus Areas:

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or Fabrication
AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, or equivalent welding inspector certification (mandatory)
10+ years of experience in industrial welding and fabrication, including 3–5 years in a senior supervisory role
Proven leadership in large fabrication projects, offshore platforms, refineries, or EPC megaprojects
Deep knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, NDT, and defect assessment
Expertise in ASME Section IX, API 1104, AWS D1.1, ISO 15614, or equivalent codes
Proficiency in welding documentation, weld mapping, and quality control workflows
Strong team leadership, conflict resolution, and performance management
High-level communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Decisive, quality-driven, and detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement
