We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Welding Supervisor (Mid-Level) to oversee daily welding operations across our projects and facilities. In this role, you will coordinate welding crews, ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards, and liaise with QA/QC and engineering teams. This position requires strong technical welding knowledge, team leadership abilities, and a solid understanding of fabrication codes, quality standards, and project timelines.
Manage and oversee welding activities and personnel on-site or in the workshop.
Allocate daily tasks to welders and monitor progress to ensure productivity and efficiency.
Ensure welding activities are performed per approved WPS, drawings, and project specifications.
Review welding parameters, joint preparations, and consumables before work begins.
Conduct preliminary visual inspections and ensure readiness for third-party or client QA/QC checks.
Ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, or project-specific welding codes and standards.
Coordinate with fabrication, construction, and engineering teams to ensure timely workflow.
Support planning for welding sequences and resource requirements.
Provide input during method statement and ITP (Inspection & Test Plan) development.
Maintain welding logs, weld maps, and repair records.
Track welder qualifications and update performance records.
Assist in preparation of weekly progress reports and productivity analysis.
Enforce adherence to site safety protocols and the use of PPE.
Participate in job hazard analysis (JHA) and toolbox talks.
Report and mitigate safety risks associated with welding operations.

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or Fabrication
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent (preferred but not mandatory)
5–8 years of progressive experience in welding and fabrication, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, or heavy fabrication industries
Proficient in various welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW)
Familiar with NDT requirements, weld traceability, and code compliance (e.g., ASME Section IX, API 1104)
Able to interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and welding symbols
Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
Effective communicator with problem-solving skills
