We are looking for a motivated Junior Welding Supervisor to support welding operations within our fabrication or construction team. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for a candidate with hands-on welding experience who is ready to take on responsibilities in team coordination, quality monitoring, and worksite safety. You will assist senior supervisors in managing welders, ensuring adherence to welding procedures, and maintaining high safety and quality standards across all welding tasks.
Assist in supervising day-to-day welding activities across assigned projects or areas.
Ensure that welders are following approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
Monitor job progress and help in managing manpower allocation based on daily needs.
Perform visual checks to ensure welds meet quality and dimensional standards.
Support coordination with QA/QC teams for inspections and testing.
Maintain basic welding records and logs as instructed by senior staff.
Help organize toolbox talks, daily briefings, and shift handovers.
Provide support and guidance to welders and helpers on basic welding techniques and practices.
Communicate production updates and issues to the Welding Foreman or Senior Supervisor.
Ensure all welding work is carried out following safety rules and PPE requirements.
Report any unsafe acts, conditions, or equipment to supervisors immediately.
Promote clean and organized workstations within welding zones.
Support in executing and supervising welding activities
Basic quality checks and documentation
Safety awareness and team coordination
Learning and development under senior mentorship
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Welding, Fabrication, or Mechanical Engineering
Welding certifications (e.g., 3G/4G/6G) are preferred
2–4 years of hands-on welding experience, preferably in oil & gas, construction, or fabrication sectors
Prior exposure to supervisory or team lead duties is a plus
Understanding of common welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, etc.)
Basic knowledge of welding codes and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS)
Familiarity with welding tools, materials, and safety practices
Willingness to learn and grow under supervision
Good communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
