Provide technical assistance to welders and production staff to ensure adherence to approved welding procedures and troubleshoot basic welding issues.

  5. Compliance & Standards Awareness:
Learn and apply relevant aerospace welding standards (e.g., AWS D17.1, ASME Section IX, NADCAP) under supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting and updating welding procedure specifications (WPS) and work instructions.

  • Support welding trials and data collection for new product or process introductions.

  • Work with quality and inspection teams to track non-conformities and assist in root cause analysis.

  • Maintain weld logs, inspection data, and documentation required for audits and certifications.

  • Learn to evaluate weld quality visually and through NDT results under guidance.

  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance weld quality and repeatability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.

  • 0–2 years of experience in a welding-related engineering role; aerospace or high-precision manufacturing preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of TIG welding, orbital welding equipment, and aerospace materials.

  • Familiarity with welding symbols, blueprints, and basic GD&T.

  • Understanding of safety standards and quality systems (AS9100, NADCAP) is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and good communication skills.
