We are seeking an experienced Senior Welder with advanced proficiency in SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding processes, certified under ASME and API standards. The Senior Welder will lead welding activities for complex pressure parts, piping, and structural fabrications, ensuring the highest standards of weld quality, safety, and compliance. This role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor junior welders while maintaining efficient workflow on projects.
Execute complex welds using SMAW, GTAW, FCAW processes on carbon steel, stainless steel, and specialty alloys, following WPS and engineering specifications.
Perform and supervise welding of critical joints including 6G pipe welds, pressure vessel welds, and high-integrity structural welds.
Ensure welds meet all required quality standards and pass visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections.
Lead and mentor junior and mid-level welders, providing training on welding techniques, safety practices, and code compliance.
Review welders’ work, provide constructive feedback, and assist in skill development programs.
Participate in welding procedure qualification tests (WPQT) and help develop new welding procedures.
Collaborate closely with QA/QC and inspection teams to address weld defects and implement corrective actions.
Maintain comprehensive welding documentation, including weld maps, inspection reports, and welder qualification records.
Ensure strict adherence to ASME, API, and client welding codes and safety standards.
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and fabrication teams to optimize welding schedules and resource allocation.
Identify potential welding issues and propose solutions to meet project timelines without compromising quality.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding productivity and reduce rework.
Champion welding safety practices and ensure compliance with all site and regulatory safety policies.
Conduct risk assessments and pre-job safety briefings for welding activities.

Diploma, ITI, or equivalent technical qualification in Welding Technology or related field.
Valid ASME Section IX and API 1104 welder qualifications (2G/3G/6G or relevant positions)
Advanced certifications in SMAW, GTAW, FCAW welding processes preferred
7+ years of welding experience in heavy fabrication, oil & gas, petrochemical, or pressure vessel industries
Proven expertise in complex welds and supervisory roles
Expert knowledge of welding codes, standards, and inspection methods
Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
Excellent problem-solving and quality assurance skills
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, WPS, and P&IDs
