Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Leadership and Strategy:
Develop and implement the engineering strategy aligned with business objectives focused on valves and mechanical systems.
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team to foster innovation and technical excellence.
Represent engineering in executive leadership meetings, contributing to overall company strategy.
Product Development and Innovation:
Oversee the design, development, and validation of valve products and mechanical systems ensuring compliance with industry standards (API, ASME).
Drive innovation in product design, materials, and manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and cost-efficiency.
Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize product lifecycle and speed to market.
Operational Excellence:
Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
Implement engineering best practices, digital tools (CAD, CAE, PLM), and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and quality standards across all engineering activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, and sales teams to align engineering efforts with business needs.
Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders to resolve challenges and drive project success.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. A PhD is an advantage.
Experience:
10-15+ years of progressive experience in engineering roles within valves, mechanical systems, or related heavy industries.
Proven leadership experience managing large engineering teams and complex product development projects.
Strong technical knowledge in valve design, fluid mechanics, materials science, and mechanical system integration.
Experience with manufacturing processes, quality control, and regulatory standards (e.g., API, ASME).
Skills:
Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
Proficiency with CAD, CAE, PLM, and other digital engineering tools.
Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Preferred Certifications:
Certifications related to project management, quality, or engineering leadership (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) are a plus.
Industry-specific certifications in valves, pressure systems, or mechanical engineering standards.
