Job Title: Vice President – Valve Engineering & Manufacturing

Summary:

The Vice President – Valve Engineering & Manufacturing is a senior executive responsible for end-to-end leadership of engineering innovation and manufacturing execution for the company’s valve product portfolio. This role integrates product development, process engineering, quality, plant operations, and supply chain management to deliver high-performance valve solutions for industrial, oil & gas, power, water, and specialty markets. The VP ensures technical excellence, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment to drive product competitiveness, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Business Alignment

  • Define and execute the engineering and manufacturing strategy for the valves division, aligned with corporate objectives and market needs.

  • Drive continuous improvement in valve technologies, operational capabilities, and cost structures to maintain global competitiveness.

  • Collaborate with executive leadership, product management, and sales to shape long-term product and capacity roadmaps.

Valve Product Engineering & Development

  • Oversee design, development, and testing of industrial valves, including ball, gate, globe, check, butterfly, control, and specialty valves.

  • Lead engineering teams through the full product lifecycle – concept, detailed design, prototyping, validation, certification, and production release.

  • Foster innovation in valve actuation (manual, pneumatic, electric, hydraulic), materials (exotic alloys, polymers), and digital integration (smart valves).

Manufacturing Operations & Process Optimization

  • Lead global/multi-site valve manufacturing operations including machining, casting, welding, assembly, and testing.

  • Champion lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and digital transformation initiatives to optimize throughput, cost, and quality.

  • Ensure seamless engineering-to-manufacturing handoffs through DFM/DFA and process design standardization.

Quality, Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure adherence to global standards and certifications such as API, ASME, ISO, PED, ATEX, CE, and SIL.

  • Lead root cause analysis, CAPA processes, and robust quality management systems across engineering and production.

  • Drive product reliability, test validation, and traceability to meet critical application demands and customer requirements.

Talent Development & Organizational Leadership

  • Build and mentor high-performing teams across engineering design, manufacturing, quality, and industrial engineering.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

  • Support global talent strategy and workforce planning in line with business growth and technology shifts.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (required)

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, MBA, or relevant executive education (preferred)


Certifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, PE license, or equivalent credentials (preferred)

  • In-depth knowledge of API 6D, 600, 598, ASME B16.34, ISO 9001/14001, CE/PED, ATEX/SIL

Experience:

  • 15+ years in valve engineering, manufacturing, or industrial product development

  • 7+ years in senior leadership roles overseeing both product and plant operations

  • Proven experience in global manufacturing, new product introductions, and regulatory compliance
