We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Vice President – Mechanical Engineering & Fabrication to lead all mechanical engineering, fabrication, and plant infrastructure development activities within a power generation environment. This executive role will oversee multidisciplinary teams involved in the design, analysis, fabrication, installation, and life cycle maintenance of critical mechanical systems such as boilers, turbines, piping networks, pressure vessels, and structural frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in power plant operations, ASME/ANSI/API codes, large-scale fabrication, and leadership in driving performance, innovation, and compliance.
Define and implement mechanical engineering and fabrication strategies aligned with the company’s power generation goals.
Lead project execution for new installations, upgrades, and retrofits of plant systems.
Oversee the mechanical design integrity, reliability engineering, and fabrication quality of power plant infrastructure.
Supervise the end-to-end design and specification of plant mechanical systems, including heat exchangers, ducting, fans, high-pressure piping, tanks, and rotating equipment.
Ensure all mechanical designs comply with international codes (ASME Section I, VIII, B31.1, API standards, etc.).
Review and approve technical documentation, design packages, and fabrication drawings.
Direct in-house or outsourced fabrication of mechanical components and equipment.
Oversee welding processes, NDT/QA/QC practices, material control, and workshop efficiency.
Ensure all fabricated components meet dimensional tolerances, material specifications, and safety standards.
Collaborate with plant operations, EPC contractors, project managers, and procurement teams.
Serve as the senior technical liaison with regulatory authorities, certification bodies, and major suppliers.
Drive standardization, cost optimization, and reliability across multiple project locations or business units.
Lead and mentor senior engineers, fabrication managers, and QA/QC personnel.
Build a high-performance culture focused on innovation, safety, and continuous improvement.
Monitor team performance, provide strategic workforce planning, and ensure succession development.

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Executive leadership training or MBA (preferred)
Certification in ASME or API mechanical standards is a plus
Experience:
15–20+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and fabrication within power generation or heavy industries
Proven leadership of large teams and multi-million-dollar capital projects
Expertise in high-pressure boiler systems, turbine auxiliaries, large-scale fabrication, and mechanical integrity programs
Skills:
Strong knowledge of mechanical codes (ASME, ANSI, API, TEMA, etc.)
Excellent communication, executive reporting, and stakeholder management abilities
Visionary leadership, strategic thinking, and ability to drive engineering excellence
Proficiency in design software and ERP tools for fabrication and project controls
