Job Title: Vice President – EPC Projects / Asset Integrity

Job Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven and technically accomplished Vice President – EPC Projects / Asset Integrity to lead all aspects of Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) project execution and long-term asset integrity programs. This executive leadership role bridges capital project delivery with sustainable asset performance, ensuring safe, cost-effective, and regulation-compliant development and lifecycle management of critical infrastructure. The role will oversee multidisciplinary teams, set strategy for project excellence, and embed asset integrity principles into project design, handover, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Organizational Direction

  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for EPC project delivery and asset integrity governance across business units.

  • Lead the integration of asset lifecycle thinking into front-end engineering, design, procurement, and construction phases.

  • Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to capital planning, risk oversight, and operational sustainability.

EPC Project Execution & Oversight

  • Provide executive oversight to all EPC projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets are met.

  • Oversee multidisciplinary project teams across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.

  • Ensure contractor/vendor performance management, project risk mitigation, and alignment with company goals.

Asset Integrity Strategy & Governance

  • Establish and lead comprehensive Asset Integrity Management Systems (AIMS) for pressure equipment, pipelines, static/rotating equipment, and structural assets.

  • Embed reliability and maintainability criteria into project design and handover protocols.

  • Drive risk-based inspection (RBI), corrosion management, and condition monitoring programs across assets.

Regulatory Compliance & Technical Assurance

  • Ensure full compliance with international standards (API, ASME, ISO), industry best practices, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Establish robust assurance frameworks including peer reviews, design validation, and readiness reviews.

  • Lead incident investigations involving asset integrity failures and ensure systemic corrective actions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with operations, HSE, maintenance, and finance teams to ensure seamless asset delivery and performance.

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and joint venture partners on project and integrity matters.

  • Report project and integrity KPIs to senior leadership and boards.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of project managers, engineers, integrity specialists, and quality professionals.

  • Build organizational capability through training, succession planning, and knowledge management.

  • Champion a culture of safety, performance, technical excellence, and accountability.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering (Master’s or MBA preferred).

  • Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer (PE) status desirable.

Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in EPC project execution, asset integrity, or capital development roles in oil & gas or industrial sectors.

  • Proven leadership in multi-billion-dollar project portfolios and cross-functional asset integrity programs.

  • Experience managing large internal teams and external contractors/consultants.

Technical & Executive Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of EPC project lifecycles, construction methodologies, and commissioning practices.

  • Expertise in asset integrity standards, RBI methodologies, corrosion and materials science, and lifecycle planning.

  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and commercial awareness.

Preferred Certifications:

  • PMP, API 580/581, ASME Plant Inspector, or equivalent project/integrity certifications.

  • Six Sigma, Lean Construction, or safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH) are a plus.
