We are seeking a skilled Ventilation System Supervisor to oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ventilation systems in control rooms and electrical rooms within a power plant. This role requires hands-on leadership, ensuring environmental conditions meet safety and operational requirements, while coordinating a team of technicians to maintain system reliability.
Supervise daily operation and preventive maintenance of ventilation equipment including exhaust fans, air handling units (AHUs), duct systems, and filtration units in critical control and electrical rooms.
Monitor airflow, temperature, and air quality parameters to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Diagnose and resolve ventilation system issues including airflow disruptions, fan failures, and control system anomalies.
Lead, mentor, and coordinate ventilation technicians and helpers, assigning daily tasks and ensuring proper execution.
Support workforce scheduling and maintain shift logs to track maintenance activities and system performance.
Promote safe work practices and ensure team adherence to PPE and plant safety protocols.
Ensure ventilation systems comply with power plant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and emergency drills specific to ventilation and electrical room safety.
Implement corrective actions to address safety concerns related to ventilation systems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs for ventilation systems.
Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and maintenance outcomes for senior management.
Assist in updating maintenance manuals and SOPs related to ventilation systems.
Oversee ventilation system operation and preventive maintenance in control/electrical rooms
Lead troubleshooting and repair activities to ensure reliable airflow and environmental safety
Supervise and develop the ventilation maintenance team
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
Maintain detailed system documentation and reporting
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related technical field
Experience:
3–6 years of experience in ventilation system maintenance and supervision, preferably in power plants or industrial environments
Skills:
Strong knowledge of ventilation system components, airflow measurement, and filtration technology
Experience with HVAC controls, fans, dampers, and ductwork maintenance
Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and maintenance manuals
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
