The Valve Testing & Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end testing, validation, and regulatory compliance processes for industrial valve products. This role ensures that all valves meet performance specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards such as API, ASME, ISO, and PED. The manager leads a team of testing engineers and compliance specialists, working closely with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure product integrity and global market readiness.
Plan, coordinate, and manage functional, performance, endurance, hydrostatic, and leak tests for a variety of valve types (e.g., ball, gate, globe, check, butterfly, control valves).
Oversee laboratory setup, calibration, instrumentation, and test automation to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for testing processes.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes and standards (e.g., API 598/6D, ASME B16.34, ISO 5208, EN 12266, CE/PED, ATEX).
Interface with third-party inspection agencies and certification bodies for product approvals and audits.
Maintain documentation and traceability for all tests and certifications required for customer delivery or regulatory filing.
Work with engineering and product development teams to define test plans and qualification strategies for new designs.
Collaborate with quality and manufacturing to resolve test failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Support marketing and sales with technical validation data and compliance assurance for tenders and key accounts.
Lead and mentor test engineers, compliance coordinators, and lab technicians.
Ensure adherence to safety practices, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices in the test environment.
Train team members on emerging standards, tools, and testing techniques.
