The Junior Valve Testing and Calibration Supervisor is responsible for supporting the testing, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of control, safety, and process valves used in industrial systems. Working under the guidance of senior supervisors, this entry-level role helps ensure that valves function within required operational parameters, especially in regulated or safety-critical environments such as food & beverage, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing plants.
This position is ideal for individuals with a technical background in instrumentation, mechanical systems, or process control, looking to grow into a supervisory role in valve integrity and performance assurance.

Assist in functional testing and calibration of control valves, pressure relief valves (PRVs), solenoid valves, and actuators.
Monitor valve responses to set pressure, temperature, and flow conditions during test cycles.
Ensure valve tags, serial numbers, and calibration records are properly recorded.
Complete test reports and calibration logs in compliance with internal SOPs and applicable standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, FDA).
Update maintenance and calibration records in CMMS or QA systems.
Support audits by ensuring traceability and documentation integrity.
Help prepare calibration benches, pneumatic test rigs, and diagnostic tools.
Ensure test equipment is in working order and calibrated regularly.
Learn and apply proper connection methods to avoid damage or leaks during valve testing.
Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, and PPE procedures during calibration activities.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards when working with pressurized systems or hazardous valves.
Report abnormal equipment conditions or unsafe practices promptly.
Work alongside senior valve technicians and calibration engineers to gain hands-on experience.
Attend training on valve types, calibration procedures, documentation, and relevant standards.
Collaborate with maintenance, QA, and production teams to prioritize valve testing needs.
Technical diploma or associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent field.
0–2 years of experience in valve maintenance, instrumentation, or calibration (internships or vocational experience acceptable).
Basic understanding of pneumatic and mechanical systems.
Exposure to calibration tools (e.g., pressure gauges, loop calibrators, digital manometers)
Familiarity with valve brands such as Fisher, Emerson, Burkert, or Spirax Sarco
Ability to read P&IDs and basic valve schematics
Entry-level knowledge of ISO 9001, 3-A, or FDA compliance (based on industry)
