We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Valve Testing Technician to lead and manage the valve testing operations for complex industrial valve assemblies. This role requires advanced expertise in hydrostatic, pneumatic, and functional testing of valves in compliance with international standards (API, ASME). The Senior Technician will oversee testing teams, develop and improve testing procedures, troubleshoot complex valve performance issues, and ensure all testing activities meet strict quality and safety standards.
Lead and supervise valve testing activities, ensuring accurate and efficient testing of a wide range of valves including gate, globe, ball, butterfly, check, relief, and control valves.
Mentor and train junior and mid-level technicians in valve testing techniques, safety practices, and quality standards.
Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to resolve valve-related issues.
Design and implement complex testing protocols for high-pressure, high-temperature, and specialty valves.
Analyze test results to diagnose valve performance and integrity issues; recommend and oversee corrective actions.
Lead root cause analysis of test failures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop, review, and update valve testing procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
Maintain comprehensive records of all valve testing activities and ensure full compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Prepare detailed test reports and technical documentation for internal and client review.
Enforce rigorous adherence to safety standards and protocols during testing operations.
Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and lead toolbox talks related to valve testing.
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of testing equipment and tools.
Technical diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
7+ years of extensive experience in valve testing, preferably in a leadership or senior technician role within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
Expertise in hydrostatic, pneumatic, seat leakage, and functional testing of valves.
Strong knowledge of valve standards (API 6D, API 598, ASME B16.34) and testing certifications.
Proficient in interpreting complex valve specifications, drawings, and test data.
Proven leadership and team management abilities.

Effective communicator with strong report writing skills.
Commitment to safety culture and continuous improvement.
Advanced certifications in valve testing and inspection (e.g., API 598, API 6D).
Safety certifications such as OSHA, confined space entry, LOTO.
