This role serves as a technical authority, supports asset reliability strategies, and mentors junior staff while ensuring system integrity, compliance, and performance.
Advanced Maintenance & Technical Oversight
Lead complex inspection, repair, and overhaul operations for critical valves, including high-pressure, large-diameter, and control valves.
Support root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for recurring valve issues and implement permanent solutions.
Establish standards and best practices for valve maintenance, testing, and torque verification.
System Optimization & Asset Management
Partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure valve configurations meet system design and performance needs.
Advise on valve selection and specifications for new projects, retrofits, or replacements.
Support the development of valve asset lifecycle strategies and predictive maintenance planning.
Mentorship & Training
Provide technical guidance and training to junior and mid-level valve specialists and maintenance personnel.
Develop SOPs, training materials, and technical manuals related to valve systems.
Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives within the mechanical maintenance group.
Safety Leadership & Compliance
Ensure all valve work complies with LOTO, confined space entry, pressure safety, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct or lead hazard assessments and participate in audits or incident investigations.
Promote a safety-first culture and adherence to mechanical integrity standards.
Documentation & Technical Reporting
Maintain detailed records of valve condition assessments, work performed, and system modifications.
Provide technical input for reliability reporting, project planning, and capital improvement recommendations.
Use CMMS and asset management systems to track valve performance data and failure trends.
Technical leadership in valve diagnostics and lifecycle management
Support of system reliability and performance optimization
