The Junior Valve Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of valve assembly, testing, and packaging processes on the manufacturing floor. This role supports senior supervisors in maintaining production targets, ensuring product quality, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and promoting a safe and efficient working environment. The position is ideal for early-career professionals with hands-on knowledge of mechanical production processes, eager to grow into a leadership role in valve manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Support & Coordination
Assist in overseeing valve assembly and testing operations according to production schedules.
Monitor material flow and component availability to minimize downtime.
Ensure work orders and production documents are accurately followed by technicians and assemblers.
Quality & Compliance
Conduct basic inspections of valve components and assemblies for conformance to specifications.
Support adherence to ISO, ASME, or internal quality standards and procedures.
Identify and escalate non-conformance issues or process deviations to senior staff.
Team & Workflow Supervision
Provide guidance to production workers on work procedures and best practices.
Help coordinate shift schedules and task assignments under the direction of the senior supervisor.
Encourage teamwork and resolve minor issues or workflow conflicts on the shop floor.
Safety & Efficiency
Promote safe work practices and proper handling of tools, valves, and pressurized equipment.
Participate in daily start-up meetings to reinforce production and safety goals.
Monitor equipment condition and assist with minor troubleshooting or maintenance coordination.
Continuous Improvement
Suggest basic improvements to enhance production flow, reduce waste, or improve ergonomics.
Support Lean Manufacturing or 5S activities in the work area.
Maintain accurate logs and assist with basic reporting on production KPIs and daily outputs.

Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or mechanical assembly environment
Exposure to valve assembly, pressure testing, or industrial mechanical components a plus
Technical Skills:
Basic understanding of mechanical drawings, torque tools, and test procedures
Familiarity with ERP systems, work orders, and basic inventory handling
Hands-on skills in assembly processes, fixture setup, or inspection tools (calipers, gauges)
Soft Skills:
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
Willingness to learn and grow into a supervisory or technical lead role
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
