We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Junior Valve Maintenance Supervisor to support the maintenance and repair of valves in a thermal or combined-cycle power plant environment. This entry-level supervisory role is ideal for individuals with foundational mechanical maintenance experience and a desire to develop leadership skills. The role involves assisting in valve inspection, troubleshooting, and coordinating minor maintenance activities under the guidance of senior supervisors or engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Valve Maintenance Support
Assist in the execution and oversight of maintenance, testing, and repair of various plant valves (isolation, control, safety, pressure relief, etc.).
Perform visual inspections, basic diagnostics, and assist in overhauls during scheduled outages or corrective interventions.
Ensure adherence to proper disassembly, lapping, reassembly, and calibration procedures.
Technical Assistance
Support senior supervisors and engineers in diagnosing valve-related issues affecting plant performance or safety.
Interpret valve data sheets, OEM manuals, and maintenance records for proper servicing.
Coordinate with technicians during valve stroke testing and leak testing.
Team Coordination & Documentation
Assist in assigning daily valve maintenance tasks to technicians and fitters under supervision.
Monitor task progress and help maintain daily work logs and shift records.
Ensure job completion forms, inspection checklists, and maintenance reports are updated accurately.
Safety & Compliance
Promote and adhere to safety protocols, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures, and confined space entry practices during valve servicing.
Ensure proper use of tools, PPE, and lifting techniques during maintenance activities.
Report unsafe conditions or incidents to senior supervisors immediately.
Learning & Development
Participate in hands-on training and safety sessions related to valve systems, flange management, and actuator operations.
Develop familiarity with different valve types (gate, globe, ball, butterfly, pressure relief) and actuators (manual, pneumatic, electric).
Take initiative in learning industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISA) relevant to valve maintenance.

Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Maintenance, or a related technical field
Experience:
1–3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, ideally in power generation, process plants, or utilities
Exposure to valve maintenance, flange assembly, or actuator systems is preferred
Skills:
Basic understanding of valve construction, function, and failure modes
Ability to read technical drawings and maintenance manuals
Good communication and teamwork skills
