The Valve Leak Tester & Inspector is responsible for conducting comprehensive leak testing and detailed inspections of sanitary valves to ensure product integrity, operational reliability, and compliance with hygienic and food safety standards. This role performs advanced diagnostic testing, oversees inspection protocols, and collaborates with maintenance and engineering teams to address valve-related issues. The position requires solid technical skills, proficiency in various leak detection methods, and the ability to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum leak tests on a wide range of sanitary valves, including actuated and manual types.
Utilize advanced leak detection equipment and techniques to identify and document valve leakage, sealing failures, and component wear.
Analyze test data to recommend valve repairs, replacements, or design improvements.
Perform thorough visual and functional inspections of valves for mechanical integrity, hygienic compliance, and operational performance.
Review and update inspection checklists and testing procedures to align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Maintain detailed records of inspection results, test certifications, and maintenance histories.
Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Support commissioning and validation of new valve installations and retrofits through leak testing and inspection protocols.
Contribute to the development and refinement of leak testing methodologies and inspection standards.
Train junior technicians and inspectors on leak testing equipment, procedures, and safety practices.

3–5 years of experience in valve leak testing, inspection, or quality assurance roles within food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related industries
Proficient in multiple leak testing techniques (pressure decay, bubble test, helium leak detection, etc.)
Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of sanitary valve designs and components
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
Familiarity with food safety regulations (FDA, 3-A Sanitary Standards)
