We are hiring a skilled and experienced Mid-Level Valve Inspector – QA/QC to conduct, supervise, and document the inspection and testing of industrial valves. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of valve standards, inspection protocols, and quality control practices. This role requires both hands-on technical ability and the capacity to support QA/QC leadership and mentor junior inspectors.
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on valves (gate, globe, ball, check, safety, control).
Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing per API 598, API 6D, and ASME B16.34 standards.
Identify defects, non-conformities, and potential failures during inspections.
Review and validate Mill Test Certificates (MTCs), calibration records, and material traceability.
Prepare detailed inspection reports, test certificates, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Maintain records in compliance with ISO 9001 and client requirements.
Ensure adherence to international standards (API, ASME, ANSI, ISO, NACE).
Interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, valve datasheets, and quality plans.
Evaluate valves for conformance with client-specific technical documentation and scope.
Coordinate with internal teams, client representatives, and third-party inspectors.
Supervise junior QA/QC inspectors during inspection and testing activities.
Support internal and external audits, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) coordination.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Recommend process improvements in valve inspection and testing procedures.
Ensure full compliance with safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
Conduct stage-wise and final inspection of valves.
Ensure calibration and proper use of all inspection tools and equipment.
Monitor valve assembly and testing processes for quality compliance.
Raise NCRs, suggest corrective actions, and track resolutions.
Prepare and verify Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Control Plans (QCPs), and checklists.
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
3–6 years of experience in QA/QC valve inspection (manufacturing, EPC, or oil & gas sectors).
Strong knowledge of valve types, testing procedures, and quality documentation.
Familiarity with international standards and inspection techniques.
Workshop or fabrication yard with occasional field/site assignments.
May require flexible working hours or shifts.
Exposure to high-pressure systems and mechanical testing environments.
