We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Valve Fitter / Assembler to lead complex assembly, fitting, and quality control of industrial valves used in critical applications such as power plants, oil & gas facilities, and petrochemical plants. This senior role requires expert knowledge of valve components, precision assembly techniques, and troubleshooting valve issues to ensure operational reliability and compliance with stringent industry standards. The Senior Valve Fitter will mentor junior fitters, optimize assembly processes, and liaise closely with engineering and quality teams.
Lead assembly of complex valve types including control valves, safety relief valves, and high-pressure specialty valves according to detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Ensure precision fitting of seats, stems, packing, actuators, and control elements with tight tolerances.
Implement rigorous quality checks during assembly stages to detect and correct defects early.
Oversee and conduct functional and pressure testing, seat leakage tests, and actuator calibration verification.
Diagnose and rectify assembly-related valve issues, including leaks, misalignments, and operational failures.
Recommend corrective actions or design improvements based on field and workshop findings.
Develop and improve valve assembly procedures, tooling setups, and quality control protocols.
Maintain detailed records of assembly activities, test results, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Support audit and compliance activities related to valve assembly quality standards.
Supervise and mentor junior valve fitters, providing technical guidance and skills development.
Coordinate with engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to resolve complex valve issues.
Participate in training programs and lead safety initiatives within the workshop or field environment.

Education:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification

Experience:
8+ years of hands-on valve fitting and assembly experience, including leadership or senior technical roles
Extensive knowledge of valve types, materials, standards (API, ASME), and assembly best practices
Skills:
Expertise in reading complex engineering drawings, specifications, and assembly manuals
Skilled in precision torque application, measurement, and inspection techniques
Strong problem-solving skills for mechanical and operational valve issues
