We are looking for a skilled Valve Fitter / Assembler to carry out assembly, fitting, testing, and maintenance support of industrial valves including gate, globe, ball, butterfly, and control valves. The ideal candidate will have practical experience working with valve components, interpreting mechanical drawings, and performing precision assembly tasks. You will ensure valves are built and serviced according to technical specifications and safety standards.
Assemble valve components including bodies, discs, seats, stems, and actuators according to manufacturer’s drawings and specifications.
Fit packing, gaskets, seals, and bearings ensuring correct positioning and alignment.
Use hand tools, torque wrenches, and precision measuring instruments during assembly.
Perform pre-assembly inspections and post-assembly testing such as seat leakage tests and actuator function checks.
Identify and report any defects or deviations in valve parts or assembly quality.
Assist in pressure testing and document results per test procedures.
Disassemble valves for repair or refurbishment, clean parts, and replace worn components as needed.
Support field maintenance teams with valve preparation and minor on-site repairs.
Maintain valve spare parts inventory and report shortages.
Read and interpret valve technical drawings, datasheets, and assembly instructions.
Maintain accurate assembly and test records.
Follow safety procedures and use appropriate PPE during all tasks.
Education:
Technical Diploma or Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or similar field
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in valve assembly, fitting, or mechanical maintenance roles
Familiarity with valve types, materials, and common failure modes
Skills:
Proficient with mechanical tools, torque application, and precision measuring devices
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Good manual dexterity and physical stamina
