The Valve Application Specialist (Mid-Level) is responsible for evaluating customer requirements and providing optimal valve solutions across a wide range of industrial applications. This includes valve selection, sizing, specification compliance, and supporting the sales and project teams with accurate technical documentation and application guidance.
Analyze process conditions (pressure, temperature, flow, medium) to select and size appropriate valve types (e.g., gate, globe, ball, butterfly, control, safety relief).
Prepare technical datasheets, specifications, and valve schedules in line with project requirements.
Review customer RFQs, P&IDs, and piping class documents to ensure correct valve application and configuration.
Provide technical support to internal sales, project, and proposal teams.
Prepare compliance matrices for customer specifications (API, ASME, ISO, EN, PED, etc.).
Support the preparation of technical submittals, deviations, and clarifications during the bidding phase.
Communicate with valve manufacturers and vendors to obtain pricing, datasheets, and delivery information.
Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and product presentations as needed.
Maintain updated knowledge of new technologies, standards, and product developments.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in valve application engineering, technical support, or industrial fluid systems.
Strong understanding of valve operation, materials of construction, sealing types, and actuator selection.
Familiarity with international standards such as API 6D/598/609, ASME B16.34, ISO, and IEC.
Proficient in using sizing and selection software (e.g., Fisher, SAMSON, Emerson tools).
Experience working with EPCs, OEMs, or industrial end-users.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and documentation skills.
Effective communication and ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
Willingness to support technical site surveys or FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests).
