We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Operations to oversee all operational activities related to valve systems manufacturing and supply. In this leadership role, you will ensure efficient production, quality control, supply chain management, and continuous improvement of valve products. You will work closely with engineering, quality, sales, and logistics teams to optimize operational performance and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
Lead and manage the end-to-end operations of valve systems manufacturing, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain.
Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality and delivery timelines.
Oversee production scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation to meet customer demands.
Quality and Compliance:
Ensure all valve systems meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., API, ASME).
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations across all operational sites.
Team Leadership and Development:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Drive workforce planning, training programs, and talent development aligned with operational goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to align operational plans with business objectives and market needs.
Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to support new product introductions and process enhancements.
Facilitate communication and coordination between departments to resolve operational challenges.
Financial and Performance Management:
Manage operational budgets, control expenses, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production efficiency, quality metrics, and delivery performance.
Prepare and present regular operational reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, preferably in valve manufacturing or mechanical systems industries.
Proven track record of managing complex manufacturing operations and supply chains.
Strong knowledge of valve systems, production processes, quality control, and regulatory standards.
Skills:
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence.
Proficiency in ERP, manufacturing execution systems (MES), and other operational software.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Experience driving Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Preferred Certifications:
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification.
Project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
Industry-specific certifications related to valve manufacturing or quality assurance.
