The Vice President – Turbine Systems is responsible for the strategic direction, business growth, and operational excellence of the turbine division, encompassing gas turbines, steam turbines, microturbines, and their associated services. This executive role oversees commercial strategy, project execution, technology integration, and key client relationships across sectors such as power generation, oil & gas, petrochemicals, and heavy industries. The VP ensures the division's profitability, market leadership, and innovation in turbine technologies and solutions.
Develop and execute business strategy for turbine systems across target markets and sectors.
Lead geographic expansion, segment diversification, and high-value project pursuits.
Identify emerging opportunities in renewable integration (e.g., gas + solar hybrid), hydrogen turbines, and energy transition solutions.
Drive revenue growth through direct sales and key account development.
Cultivate strategic partnerships with OEMs, EPC contractors, and energy providers.
Oversee bidding and negotiation for multi-million-dollar turbine supply and long-term service agreements (LTSAs).
Guide technical direction of turbine products and service offerings.
Ensure engineering compliance with international standards (API, ASME, ISO) and project-specific requirements.
Support R&D initiatives for turbine performance optimization, emissions reduction, and digital monitoring solutions.
Oversee project delivery from pre-engineering to commissioning and aftermarket support.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, supply chain, and field services.
Manage project risks, profitability, and client satisfaction across all phases.
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of sales leaders, turbine engineers, project managers, and service heads.
Promote a high-performance culture focused on safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Provide executive reports on financial performance, project pipeline, risk exposure, and growth forecasts.
Align division strategy with company-wide goals and shareholder expectations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Power Engineering (Master’s or MBA preferred)
15–20+ years of experience in gas/steam turbine systems, rotating equipment, or power generation projects
Proven leadership in managing large-scale turbine businesses, including P&L ownership
Experience with OEM turbine brands (GE, Siemens, Solar, Mitsubishi, MAN, etc.)
Strong network within energy, utilities, oil & gas, and industrial client base
GCC or international project experience preferred
Turbine technologies (gas, steam, hybrid systems)
Commercial strategy and key account leadership
Large project execution and operations management
Technical depth in rotating equipment and power systems
Negotiation and long-term contract structuring (LTSAs, O&M)
Executive leadership and cross-regional team management
