The Vice President – Operations & Maintenance (O&M) – Mechanical is responsible for leading all mechanical operations and maintenance activities across the organization’s plants, assets, or facilities. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of mechanical systems while driving strategic improvements in maintenance practices, technology adoption, and team capability.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
Define and execute mechanical O&M strategies aligned with business goals.
Develop asset management plans and reliability strategies.
Set long-term goals for equipment performance and life-cycle optimization.
Maintenance Operations:
Oversee preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance programs.
Ensure equipment availability, reliability, and performance across all sites.
Supervise major overhauls, shutdowns, and capital maintenance projects.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
Foster a high-performance culture through training, accountability, and development.
Establish clear KPIs and drive team productivity.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Enforce best practices in health, safety, and environmental standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Budgeting & Cost Control:
Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, optimizing O&M costs.
Evaluate cost-benefit of maintenance projects and technology investments.
Monitor vendor contracts and procurement related to mechanical systems.
Technology & Innovation:
Champion the adoption of CMMS, IIoT, condition monitoring, and other digital tools.
Lead data-driven decision-making and predictive maintenance initiatives.
Drive digital transformation of mechanical maintenance functions.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Operations, Projects, Supply Chain, and EHS teams.
Align maintenance plans with production schedules and business priorities.
Coordinate with OEMs, service providers, and regulatory bodies.

18+ years of progressive experience in mechanical maintenance and operations, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
Strong background in managing large-scale plants or industrial operations.
Proven expertise in asset management, reliability engineering, and modern maintenance systems.
