The Vice President – Facilities & Plant Environment Systems is responsible for the strategic leadership, management, and continuous improvement of all facilities infrastructure and environmental systems supporting water and wastewater treatment plants. This executive role ensures the optimal operation, maintenance, and compliance of plant environments, including HVAC, ventilation, waste management, and sustainability programs. The VP drives innovation in facility design and environmental stewardship to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Oversee all plant facilities including buildings, HVAC systems, ventilation, lighting, and auxiliary infrastructure.
Develop and implement strategies for facility maintenance, upgrades, and capital improvements.
Ensure facility systems support operational requirements and comply with safety and environmental standards.
Lead environmental control systems, including air quality management, emissions control, waste handling, and sustainability initiatives.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and internal policies related to plant environmental performance.
Collaborate with environmental compliance teams to manage permits, inspections, and reporting.
Direct planning and execution of facility and environmental systems capital projects.
Manage budgets, schedules, and vendor relationships to achieve project objectives.
Integrate sustainability goals and energy efficiency into facility design and operations.
Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of facilities, environmental, and maintenance professionals.
Promote a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Engage with senior leadership, regulators, and external stakeholders on facility and environmental matters.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (required)
Advanced degree or certifications in environmental management or facilities leadership (preferred)
Experience:
15+ years in facilities management, environmental systems, or water/wastewater treatment industries
Proven executive leadership experience managing complex plant infrastructure and environmental programs
Deep knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, air quality, waste management, and environmental compliance
