The VP of Engineering Operations leads all engineering and operational activities related to water treatment and HVAC systems. This executive role drives the integration of engineering excellence with operational efficiency to ensure reliable, compliant, and cost-effective treatment facility performance. The VP oversees cross-functional teams managing plant mechanical systems, HVAC infrastructure, process optimization, and capital project execution, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Lead engineering and operational teams for water treatment mechanical systems and HVAC infrastructure.
Ensure seamless coordination between engineering design, construction, and plant operations.
Optimize system performance through technology upgrades, predictive maintenance, and process improvements.
Manage the planning, budgeting, and execution of capital projects related to mechanical and HVAC systems.
Oversee contractor performance, engineering reviews, and compliance with industry codes and standards (ASME, AWWA, ASHRAE).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce downtime and operational costs.
Ensure adherence to environmental, safety, and mechanical codes relevant to water treatment and HVAC systems.
Collaborate with EH&S teams to enforce safety protocols and manage risk.
Lead audit preparations and respond to regulatory inspections.
Develop and mentor engineering and operations leadership staff.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Liaise with executive leadership, customers, and regulatory bodies.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field (required)
Advanced degree (MS/MBA) preferred
Experience:
15+ years in engineering and operations roles within water treatment or HVAC industries
5+ years in senior leadership positions overseeing multi-disciplinary teams and capital projects
In-depth knowledge of water treatment mechanical systems and HVAC engineering principles
