Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Vice President – Energy and Mechanical Integration (Turbine Systems) is a senior executive leadership role responsible for aligning turbine-based mechanical systems with overall energy strategies across the organization. This role ensures optimal integration of turbine systems—steam, gas, hydro, or combined cycle—within broader utility and infrastructure platforms to maximize energy efficiency, system reliability, and performance. The VP provides strategic oversight on design, operation, retrofits, and lifecycle management of mechanical energy systems and drives innovation in energy integration and decarbonization.

Key Responsibilities:

Energy & Mechanical Systems Integration

  • Lead the development and execution of strategies that integrate turbine systems with plant-wide energy, thermal, and mechanical systems.

  • Oversee interconnection of mechanical assets such as turbines, compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers with broader utility functions.

Turbine Systems Management

  • Provide executive oversight of turbine system design, procurement, performance optimization, and failure mitigation.

  • Guide retrofit projects, repowering initiatives, and capacity enhancements for existing turbine infrastructure.

Strategic Energy Planning

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape long-term energy infrastructure strategies, including energy transition and sustainability initiatives.

  • Support decarbonization goals through adoption of low-carbon technologies, energy recovery systems, and efficiency optimization.

Capital Project Oversight

  • Oversee major mechanical and energy capital projects from concept through commissioning.

  • Ensure turbine and energy systems align with operational needs, engineering standards, and financial targets.

Innovation & Digital Integration

  • Drive innovation through adoption of digital twin technology, condition monitoring, predictive analytics, and automation systems.

  • Lead pilot programs for hybrid energy solutions and integrated energy storage applications.

Compliance & Engineering Governance

  • Ensure compliance with international mechanical and energy codes (API, ASME, ISO 50001) and environmental regulations.

  • Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and quality assurance protocols for turbine systems.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers, energy planners, and project managers.

  • Engage stakeholders across facilities, OEMs, regulators, and technology providers to deliver integrated energy solutions.

Key Focus Areas:

  1. Integration of Turbine Systems with Facility Energy Platforms

  2. Performance Optimization and Lifecycle Management of Mechanical Energy Assets

  3. Capital Project Delivery for Mechanical and Energy Infrastructure
