We are seeking a dynamic and highly strategic Vice President – Asset Integrity & Safety to lead the enterprise-wide governance, oversight, and continuous improvement of asset integrity and safety management systems—specifically encompassing boilers, high-energy piping, and pressure systems—across a fleet of power generation facilities. This senior executive will play a critical role in safeguarding the mechanical reliability and safe operation of all critical infrastructure while ensuring compliance with industry codes, regulatory standards, and corporate risk management policies.
Develop and execute the corporate Asset Integrity and Safety Vision, ensuring it aligns with business goals, regulatory mandates, and sustainability commitments.
Serve as the company’s highest authority on mechanical integrity for boilers, pressure vessels, HRSGs, and high-energy piping systems.
Provide executive leadership over cross-functional teams including engineering, compliance, inspection, HSE, operations, and legal.
Establish enterprise-wide standards and procedures for compliance with ASME, NBIC, API, OSHA, ISO 45001, and jurisdictional regulations related to boilers and pressure systems.
Lead governance reviews, audits, and third-party inspections to verify integrity program adherence and operational safety.
Ensure timely and effective interface with regulatory bodies, insurance representatives, and board-level risk committees.
Oversee the design, deployment, and continual enhancement of Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), Fitness-for-Service (FFS), and Remaining Life Assessment (RLA) programs.
Integrate mechanical integrity into long-term capital planning, outage strategy, and lifecycle management of critical components.
Support the adoption of predictive analytics, digital twin models, and AI-based risk assessment platforms for proactive integrity management.
Drive a corporate culture of “zero harm” through behavioral safety programs, process safety integration, and leadership engagement.
Monitor and improve KPIs related to integrity-related incidents, near-misses, inspection backlogs, and loss-of-containment events.
Sponsor leadership safety walkdowns, investigations, and follow-ups on high-risk findings or failures.
Lead a high-performing global or regional team of senior managers, engineers, and compliance professionals in the areas of asset integrity and safety.
Facilitate leadership alignment across Operations, Engineering, Legal, ESG, and External Affairs teams.
Represent the company in industry forums, technical conferences, and regulatory discussions on asset integrity and safety best practices.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline (Master’s or MBA preferred)
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent credential
Certifications (Preferred):
API 510 / 579 / 580, NBIC Authorized Inspector, OSHA 30, CSP, or Six Sigma Black Belt
Executive training in Operational Risk, Safety Leadership, or Industrial Asset Management
Experience:
20+ years of progressive experience in power generation or heavy industrial sectors, with at least 7–10 years at a senior executive level
Deep technical and operational understanding of boiler systems, pressure vessels, steam cycles, and piping integrity
Proven track record of leading enterprise-scale risk reduction, compliance, and integrity programs
Skills:
Strong strategic planning, leadership, and influence across business units and disciplines
Expertise in asset management platforms (SAP PM, Meridium, APM), digital inspection technologies, and safety data analytics
Executive-level communication, stakeholder engagement, and crisis management skills
Ability to manage CAPEX planning, cross-border compliance, and board-level reporting
