We are seeking a skilled and proactive Turnaround Supervisor with experience in valve and piping maintenance to oversee and coordinate mechanical activities during plant shutdowns and turnarounds. This mid-level role involves managing field crews, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and supporting the successful completion of valve and piping scopes within tight turnaround schedules.
Lead and supervise valve and piping maintenance, repair, and replacement activities during turnarounds.
Ensure all work is performed according to project specifications, drawings, and procedures.
Monitor field progress, coordinate manpower, and resolve technical and operational issues promptly.
Ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of assigned tasks.
Enforce compliance with site safety policies, permit-to-work systems, and safe work practices.
Conduct and lead toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and safety briefings for the crew.
Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a zero-incident work environment.
Oversee quality control checks and ensure valve and piping works meet project and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspection reports and daily progress logs.
Coordinate with QA/QC and engineering teams to close out punch lists and non-conformance reports.
Liaise with project management, engineering, and procurement teams to align resources and schedules.
Participate in turnaround planning meetings and contribute to look-ahead scheduling.
Facilitate communication between site crews and management to resolve issues and optimize workflow.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
4–7 years of experience in mechanical supervision, with specific exposure to valve and piping maintenance during turnarounds or shutdowns.
Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate complex field activities in industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of valve types, piping systems, installation, and maintenance best practices.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and project documentation.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards (e.g., API, ASME) and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict turnaround deadlines.
API Valve inspection or maintenance certification
OSHA 30 or NEBOSH safety certification
Permit-to-Work and LOTO training
