We are seeking an experienced Senior Turbomachinery Design Engineer with expertise in high-speed rotating components to lead design, development, and optimization efforts in advanced turbomachinery systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rotor dynamics, materials, and mechanical design principles specific to rotating equipment such as turbines, compressors, and related components.
Lead the conceptual and detailed design of high-speed rotating components including rotors, shafts, blades, and disks for turbomachinery applications.
Perform advanced rotor dynamics analysis to ensure stability, reliability, and vibration performance of rotating assemblies.
Conduct stress, fatigue, and thermal analysis to validate design integrity under operational conditions.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, testing, and quality teams to translate design into production-ready components.
Develop and optimize designs using CAD, FEA, and specialized turbomachinery design software.
Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during prototype testing and field operation.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices in turbomachinery design.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and materials relevant to high-speed rotating machinery.
Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and contribute to patent filings or technical publications as applicable.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in turbomachinery design, specifically high-speed rotating components.
Proficiency in rotor dynamics, vibration analysis, and mechanical design of rotating equipment.
Experience with CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks), FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN), and rotor dynamics tools (e.g., ALGOR, MD Nastran).
Strong understanding of materials, fatigue, and thermal stresses in rotating machinery.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, balancing, and testing of turbomachinery components.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Strong communication skills and experience in technical documentation and presentations.
Experience in gas turbines, compressors, or aero-engine components.
Familiarity with industry standards and certifications (e.g., API, ASME).
Advanced degrees or specialized training in rotor dynamics or turbomachinery design.
