The Senior Turbocharger Machining Supervisor is a seasoned leader responsible for overseeing all machining operations related to turbocharger components. This role drives operational excellence, enforces strict quality and safety standards, and leads continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Supervisor manages multiple machining teams, coordinates cross-functional collaboration, and ensures production goals are met with maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
Lead and manage all machining operations for turbocharger parts, including turbine wheels, compressor housings, shafts, and precision components.
Develop and implement machining strategies to optimize productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Supervise and mentor a large team of machinists, supervisors, and technical staff across multiple shifts or production lines.
Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain to drive process improvements and resolve complex technical issues.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Oversee equipment maintenance programs, tooling selection, and calibration to maintain peak machine performance.
Monitor key performance indicators such as cycle times, scrap rates, equipment utilization, and delivery schedules; develop action plans to address gaps.
Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
Manage budget and resource allocation for the machining department.

Technical diploma, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical engineering technology, or related field preferred
7+ years of experience in precision machining, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
Extensive experience with turbocharger or high-precision rotating equipment manufacturing
Expert knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, metrology, and process control
Strong understanding of machining best practices, quality standards, and compliance requirements
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Ability to manage complex operations and multiple teams effectively
