The Turbine Upgrade Specialist (Junior Level) assists in the evaluation, planning, and implementation of turbine upgrade projects, including performance enhancement, parts replacement, and control system modernization. This role supports engineering and field teams to deliver efficient, safe, and cost-effective upgrade solutions for gas and steam turbines.
Assist in collecting technical data on turbine operating conditions, component wear, and upgrade history.
Support the review of upgrade packages provided by OEMs or engineering teams.
Help prepare basic technical documentation, upgrade schedules, and work plans under supervision.
Participate in on-site assessments, inspections, and component validation activities.
Coordinate with field service teams and vendors for logistics, parts verification, and installation support.
Assist in preparing upgrade reports, progress summaries, and customer handover documentation.
Learn to interpret turbine drawings, part lists, and OEM technical manuals.
Ensure compliance with site safety and QA/QC procedures during upgrade activities.
Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or equivalent.
0–2 years of experience in turbine operations, maintenance, or upgrades (internship or apprenticeship acceptable).
Basic understanding of gas and steam turbine systems, including rotors, blades, nozzles, and control logic.
Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or turbine design tools is a plus.
Willingness to work on-site during shutdowns and upgrade installations.
Good communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
Eagerness to learn OEM specifications, upgrade kits, and performance testing methods.
Interest in turbomachinery performance, digital retrofits, or energy efficiency projects.
