We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Turbine Technician with hands-on experience in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of steam and gas turbines. You will work independently and with minimal supervision to perform routine and corrective maintenance tasks, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and ensure turbines operate safely and efficiently. This role supports plant reliability and helps optimize turbine performance during planned outages and operational periods.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on steam and gas turbines, including disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and reassembly of components.
Conduct alignment checks, bearing replacements, blade inspections, and balancing activities.
Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators) to verify turbine tolerances and specifications.
Diagnose mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with engineers to identify root causes and participate in failure investigations.
Repair or replace damaged turbine parts and coordinate with vendors for parts procurement.
Participate actively in scheduled shutdowns and turnarounds, ensuring timely completion of turbine maintenance tasks.
Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and OEM manuals during outage activities.
Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
Conduct pre-job safety assessments and adhere to lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
Mentor junior technicians on safe work practices and proper use of tools.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and work completion records.
Report equipment condition, potential issues, and maintenance recommendations to supervisors and engineering teams.
Independent execution of turbine maintenance and inspections
Troubleshooting and repair of turbine mechanical systems
Active involvement in outages and turnarounds
Promoting and maintaining safety standards
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Power Plant Technology, or equivalent technical qualification.
3–5 years of hands-on experience with steam and/or gas turbine maintenance in an industrial or power plant environment.
Proven experience in turbine disassembly, reassembly, alignment, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency with precision measuring tools and turbine maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with OEM turbine manuals and industry standards.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.

Certified Vibration Analyst (Category I or II)
