The Junior Turbine Maintenance Supervisor supports the execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on gas and steam turbines. The role involves overseeing frontline technicians, ensuring adherence to maintenance procedures, supporting inspections, and coordinating resources under the guidance of senior supervisors.
Assist in supervising maintenance tasks for steam/gas turbines during inspections, overhauls, and emergency repairs.
Coordinate with technicians to execute daily work plans and follow approved maintenance procedures.
Ensure proper dismantling, inspection, and reassembly of turbine components such as blades, rotors, casings, couplings, seals, and bearings.
Maintain clear documentation of work progress, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
Monitor tools, lifting equipment, and maintenance consumables for proper usage and condition.
Support alignment, torqueing, clearance checks, and other critical activities under senior supervision.
Report technical deviations, safety incidents, and equipment abnormalities promptly.
Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards and use of PPE during all turbine work.
Work closely with QA/QC, planning, and HSE teams to support safe and compliant execution.
Participate in pre-job briefings, toolbox talks, and post-maintenance reviews.
Guide mechanical technicians during disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of turbine equipment.
Monitor quality of maintenance activities to ensure compliance with OEM and plant standards.
Ensure completion of daily maintenance reports, checklists, and work permits.
Record critical measurements such as clearances, alignment readings, and torque values accurately.
Support the enforcement of safety procedures and contribute to a zero-incident maintenance culture.
Monitor compliance with lockout-tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and hot work permits.
Communicate effectively with senior supervisors, planners, and technical teams.
Help coordinate manpower, tools, and materials at the job site.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology.
Experience: 2–4 years of turbine or rotating equipment maintenance experience.
Preferred Industries: Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Heavy Industry
Basic understanding of turbine operation and maintenance procedures.
Familiarity with mechanical drawings, clearance standards, and alignment tools.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work under supervision and follow technical instructions accurately.
Commitment to safety and procedural discipline.
Field-based role with extended time in turbine halls and rotating machinery areas.
May include night shifts, weekends, and extended hours during outages.
Use of PPE is mandatory; exposure to noise, heat, and confined spaces is expected.
