We are looking for a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Turbine Fitter / Mechanical Fitter to lead and execute complex mechanical maintenance, overhauls, and installations of steam and gas turbines. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising turbine fitting activities, ensuring precision execution, adherence to safety and quality standards, and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of turbine systems, OEM specifications, and field repair procedures, with a strong focus on leadership during critical shutdowns and turnarounds.
Lead and perform detailed mechanical disassembly, inspection, refurbishment, and assembly of turbine components such as rotors, diaphragms, casings, blades, seals, and bearings.
Conduct advanced alignment and fitment procedures, balancing, and coupling installation in compliance with OEM and industry standards.
Oversee and verify the installation and operational readiness of turbine auxiliaries (lube oil systems, seals, steam traps, etc.).
Manage and direct teams of fitters and technicians during turbine outages, overhauls, and field jobs.
Assign work scopes, monitor performance, and ensure completion of tasks according to quality and timeline targets.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to on-the-job training and competency development.
Conduct quality inspections and ensure dimensional tolerances and technical specifications are met.
Prepare and review job safety analysis (JSA), permit-to-work systems, and ensure compliance with all site safety protocols.
Maintain detailed records of work completed, issues encountered, and final handover documentation.
Interface with engineers, planners, and client representatives to communicate progress, resolve issues, and coordinate work fronts.
Support planning and estimation for manpower, tools, consumables, and parts required for turbine maintenance jobs.

Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting
OEM turbine certifications or training highly desirable (GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.)
7–10+ years of relevant experience in turbine fitting and mechanical maintenance
Extensive field experience in turbine overhauls, shutdowns, and start-up support
Proven leadership in executing major turbine outages and maintenance campaigns
Expert in alignment, dimensional inspection, and turbine assembly techniques
Skilled with hydraulic torqueing tools, dial indicators, micrometers, laser alignment tools
Strong ability to interpret mechanical drawings, OEM manuals, and specifications
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
Effective communication with clients, team members, and engineers
High attention to detail, discipline, and ownership of mechanical scope
