We are seeking a skilled and experienced Turbine Fitter / Mechanical Fitter with a solid background in the maintenance, assembly, disassembly, and alignment of steam and/or gas turbines. As a mid-level professional, you will play a key role in overhauls, planned maintenance, and troubleshooting of turbine equipment in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. You will work both independently and as part of a team, often supervising junior technicians on-site or in the workshop.
Dismantle, inspect, refurbish, and reassemble turbine components including rotors, blades, casings, diaphragms, seals, and bearings.
Perform critical alignments, torqueing, balancing, and installation of couplings and piping interfaces.
Ensure correct fitment of gaskets, O-rings, and mechanical seals per OEM guidelines.
Lead or assist in major shutdowns, turnarounds, and emergency repairs.
Conduct mechanical fitting operations using tools such as torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, and precision instruments.
Coordinate with engineers and planners for maintenance scope execution.
Follow safety procedures and use proper PPE at all times during field or workshop activities.
Maintain detailed documentation of activities, findings, and mechanical conditions.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections and report non-conformities.
Provide guidance to junior fitters and apprentices during turbine maintenance.
Report progress, issues, and safety concerns to supervisors and project managers.
Participate in toolbox talks, job safety analyses (JSAs), and continuous improvement meetings.

ITI, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
OEM or advanced training in turbine systems (preferred)
3–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, including turbine overhauls
Familiarity with steam and/or gas turbine components and auxiliary systems
Skilled in precision measurements, alignment techniques, and mechanical tolerances
Proficient in reading engineering drawings and OEM manuals
Able to use turbine-specific tools and lifting/rigging equipment
Strong teamwork and leadership qualities
Good communication and reporting skills
Ability to work under pressure during critical outages or turnarounds
