We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Turbine Assembly Technician to assist in the assembly and build-up of turbine engines and subassemblies. This is an entry-level role that involves learning hands-on mechanical assembly techniques, following technical documentation, and supporting experienced technicians in the preparation, assembly, and inspection of turbine components.
Assist in the mechanical assembly of turbine engine modules, components, and hardware under supervision.
Follow work instructions, build sheets, and engineering drawings to perform basic tasks such as bolting, torquing, alignment, and part fitting.
Support pre-assembly tasks including cleaning, deburring, part inspection, and tool preparation.
Operate basic hand tools, torque wrenches, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively.
Work closely with senior technicians and engineers to learn turbine build processes, safety practices, and quality requirements.
Document basic process steps and maintain part traceability through proper tagging and tracking.
Ensure parts and work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with 5S and safety standards.
Report discrepancies or non-conformances to supervisors or quality personnel.
Maintain a learning mindset to grow into more complex assembly tasks over time.
Support in Engine Build-Up
Assist in assembling engine modules and subcomponents using precision tools and guided procedures.
Learning Technical Documentation
Understand and follow engineering drawings, torque charts, and work instructions for accurate part installation.
Tool Usage & Handling
Develop competency in using torque tools, lifting fixtures, and measuring equipment.
Quality & Safety Compliance
Adhere to quality standards and shop safety practices while supporting inspections and documentation.
Team Collaboration & Skill Development
Work under supervision and collaborate with senior technicians to gain hands-on experience and technical proficiency.
High school diploma or vocational training in mechanical, aerospace, or industrial technology.
0–2 years of relevant experience in mechanical assembly or industrial maintenance.
Basic understanding of mechanical components, fasteners, and measurement tools.
Ability to read simple mechanical drawings and follow step-by-step instructions.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn turbine-specific assembly techniques.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Physically capable of lifting components, standing for long periods, and working in industrial environments.
Internship or practical experience in a mechanical or aerospace assembly environment.
Familiarity with turbine engine components or gas turbine operations.
Basic knowledge of torque procedures, safety regulations, and aerospace quality standards.
