The Junior Thermodynamics Engineer – Pump-Turbine Units is responsible for supporting the design, analysis, and performance evaluation of pump-turbine systems. This role involves applying thermodynamic principles to assess energy conversion efficiency, heat transfer, and system behavior under varying operational conditions. The engineer will contribute to testing, modeling, and operational data review under the guidance of senior engineers.
Assist in developing thermodynamic models of pump-turbine systems using software tools (e.g., MATLAB, EES, ANSYS).
Support performance mapping and simulation of pressure, temperature, enthalpy, and efficiency behavior across load conditions.
Participate in field and lab testing of pump-turbine units.
Collect and analyze thermal and hydraulic performance data.
Calculate cycle efficiency, energy losses, and thermal balances across the system.
Support energy recovery evaluations in pumped storage and water utility applications.
Prepare technical reports, test summaries, and documentation for internal use and clients.
Assist with proposal development and system design documentation.
