The Junior Testing Technician assists in conducting tests on HVAC units to verify functionality, performance, and compliance with quality standards. This entry-level role supports senior technicians and engineers in executing test protocols, collecting data, and maintaining testing equipment to ensure reliable and consistent product quality.
Assist in setting up HVAC units and test equipment according to standardized procedures.
Perform basic functional and safety tests on HVAC components and assembled units under supervision.
Record and document test results accurately in logs and databases.
Support the maintenance and calibration of testing tools and instruments.
Report any equipment malfunctions or discrepancies to the test supervisor.
Ensure testing areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Identify obvious defects or failures during tests and notify senior technicians.
Follow test protocols strictly to ensure valid and repeatable results.
Assist in preparing units for further analysis or repair when necessary.
Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and safe handling of equipment.
Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a safe work environment.
Supporting HVAC unit testing and data collection
Maintaining test equipment and work area safety
Assisting with quality control during testing phases
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Technical training or certification in HVAC technology or electrical/mechanical testing is a plus
0–1 year of experience in testing, quality assurance, or HVAC manufacturing (internship or entry-level preferred)
Basic understanding of HVAC systems and components
Attention to detail and accuracy in data recording
Ability to follow instructions and test protocols carefully
Good communication and teamwork skills
