Roles & Responsibilities

The Junior Test Bench Supervisor – I&C Integration Stations is responsible for supporting the setup, execution, and supervision of test bench activities for instrumentation and control systems during the integration phase. This role ensures that all systems are installed, integrated, and functionally tested in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Bench Setup & Operation:
    Assist in the preparation, configuration, and maintenance of I&C test benches used for system integration and validation.

  • System Integration Support:
    Collaborate with engineering and commissioning teams to facilitate integration testing of I&C components and subsystems.

  • Testing and Troubleshooting:
    Perform functional and performance tests on I&C systems; identify faults and support troubleshooting activities.

  • Data Collection & Reporting:
    Document test results accurately and provide detailed reports to senior engineers and supervisors.

  • Compliance & Safety:
    Ensure all test bench activities comply with industry standards (e.g., IEC, ISA), project-specific procedures, and safety regulations.

  • Equipment Handling:
    Monitor the condition and calibration of test instruments and tools; arrange servicing or replacement when required.

  • Continuous Improvement:
    Participate in root cause analysis and contribute ideas to improve testing methods and integration efficiency.


Focus Areas:

  1. Instrumentation Testing:
    Pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors, transmitters, and analyzers.

  2. Control System Integration:
    PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems—verifying I/O mappings and logic functions.

  3. Communication Protocols:
    Proficiency in MODBUS, PROFIBUS, HART, or other industrial protocols used in I&C systems.

  4. Documentation and QA:
    Maintaining accurate logs, checklists, and support documentation for QA/QC audits.

  5. Team Coordination:
    Interface with electrical, mechanical, and automation teams to align testing with commissioning goals.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.

  • 1–3 years of experience in I&C system testing or integration environments.

  • Familiarity with test equipment and automation tools.

  • Good understanding of technical drawings and P&IDs.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
