Job Summary:

The Senior Team Leader – Sales is responsible for leading a high-performing sales team, overseeing operations within a defined territory or sector, and ensuring achievement of revenue targets. This role includes strategic planning, coaching team members, and managing key accounts to contribute to overall business growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of sales executives or representatives to meet and exceed targets.

  • Develop and implement tactical sales plans aligned with regional and organizational goals.

  • Monitor performance, set KPIs, and conduct regular team reviews and training sessions.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic customer relationships.

  • Guide the team in handling complex negotiations and closing high-value deals.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments (marketing, logistics, product, finance) to streamline operations.

  • Analyze sales reports, pipeline forecasts, and market trends to support data-driven decisions.

  • Resolve customer escalations and ensure a high standard of service delivery.

  • Assist in budgeting, pricing strategy, and campaign execution at the field level.

  • Represent the company in exhibitions, networking events, and client presentations.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

  • 5–7 years of successful sales experience, including 2–3 years in a team leadership role.

  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets and leading productive teams.

  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) and MS Office suite.

  • Ability to travel within assigned regions when required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in [industry-specific sales: e.g., B2B, FMCG, real estate, industrial equipment].

  • Knowledge of territory planning, sales analytics, and competitor benchmarking.

  • Multilingual skills depending on the operating region.
