Tax Manager

Overview of the Role

Talent Share Private Companies Management LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic team in the United Arab Emirates (AE). As a pivotal member of our finance and compliance department, the Tax Manager will oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting, ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of corporate taxation, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate the ability to develop strategic tax solutions that optimize the company's financial position while maintaining full compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Tax Planning and Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies aligned with the company's business objectives, ensuring optimal tax efficiency and risk mitigation.
  • Tax Compliance and Reporting: Prepare, review, and submit all required tax filings and reports in accordance with UAE tax laws and international standards, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Tax Risk Management: Identify potential tax risks and develop proactive measures to address and mitigate these risks, maintaining compliance with evolving tax regulations.
  • Audit Support and Liaison: Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to facilitate smooth audit processes.
  • Regulatory Updates and Compliance Monitoring: Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations within the UAE and internationally, advising management on implications and necessary adjustments.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of tax filings, correspondence, and supporting documentation to ensure transparency and audit readiness.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop junior staff within the tax department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, legal, and operational teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions and transactions.
  • Advisory Services: Provide expert tax advice to senior management on various business initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and new market entries.

Key Competencies and Requirements

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CTA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate tax management, preferably within the UAE or the Gulf region.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE tax laws, VAT regulations, and international tax principles.
  • Experience working with tax authorities and managing tax audits.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and accounting principles.
