We are looking for a motivated Junior Structural Fabricator to assist in the fabrication and assembly of structural steel components for power plant facilities. This entry-level role involves working under close supervision to learn fabrication techniques, read basic drawings, and support the construction and maintenance of steel frameworks, supports, and other structural elements.
Assist in cutting, grinding, drilling, and assembling structural steel components such as beams, columns, and supports.
Operate basic fabrication tools and machinery under supervision.
Help prepare steel components for welding, bolting, and installation.
Learn to read and understand basic structural drawings, sketches, and fabrication instructions.
Follow work orders and fabrication specifications carefully.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fabrication workspace.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and safe handling of materials.
Report any defects or safety hazards to supervisors.
Participate in training on fabrication techniques, safety practices, and equipment use.
Develop basic skills in measuring, cutting, and assembling structural components.
Assisting with basic structural steel fabrication tasks
Supporting senior fabricators and welders
Following safety and quality procedures
Learning to read structural drawings and fabrication processes
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in fabrication or welding is a plus
Experience:
0–2 years of experience in steel fabrication or related work (internship/apprenticeship preferred)
Skills:
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Good physical stamina and attention to safety
Basic ability to read drawings or willingness to develop this skill
